I began my artistic journey relatively late in life, when, in 2007, I began taking classes in botanical watercolour painting at Ku-ring-gai Art college under the inspirational tutelage of Diana Bilderbeck-Frost.
I continued with this medium and subject matter for the next four years, before exploring classes in abstract drawing and acrylic painting for the next couple of years.
In 2014, I made the switch to oil painting when I commenced open studio classes at Meadowbank TAFE, where I spent seven very pleasant years, before moving to Canberra in 2021.
For the next three years I adjusted to living in a new environment and the only painting I did was of the house variety. About the middle of last year, the creative juices started flowing again…since then I have been painting and drawing more or less continuously, including a portrait commission, two pet portraits and some pencil drawings for a book illustration.
